Pumpkin House

We went to the Pumpkin House this year for the first time and it was extremely crowded, but so worth it!   Some of the pumpkins were amazing, others were.... strange.  The most beautiful were the Raphael angel pumpkin and the headless horseman pumpkin.  Both had to have taken forever.  And the oddest pumpkins had to be the Fetus (the word FETUS carved into it), and the Ad Nauseum pumpkins.  I Still haven't quite figured those pumpkins out.  But regardless, It was nice to be able to go somewhere local and see something that has gotten so much attention in other areas of the nation.  That doesn't happen very often around these parts.  There really are things to do here, you just have to dig a bit to find them.

The Robot

Photobucket

Ah, the robot.  It is Noah's favorite dance move.  At ten years old, it is one of the few he has mastered.  I try and teach him much cooler moves like the funky chicken, but he seems to always fall back on his good 'ol faithful.

I stand in the middle of the living room floor and say, "Watch this, Noah," as I proceed to bounce and jirate backwards, attempting the "roger rabbit" from my childhood.

"Mom, that is so bad,"  he says.  He rolls his eyes at me and makes his way to my side.  He shifts my arms and legs around  and instructs me to "pop and lock".  I watch him show me how it is done and I try my best to imitate, but it is no use; momma can't pop and lock.
